As many of you know, the Governor announced on September 17, 2020, that school districts and charter schools have the option to re-enter schools under plan A (minimal social distancing) for grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade only. This is an optional choice for schools beginning October 5, 2020.
This evening our board of directors met to discuss our current school plans to re-enter under plan B (50% capacity) for grades K-4th grade only beginning on October 12th as well as the option to re-open under Plan A for grades K-5. The board voted to CHANGE THEIR DECISION FROM PLAN B TO PLAN A under a staggered entry.
Students will have the option of plan C (fully remote instruction) or Plan A (minimal social distancing) for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. A new commitment form will be sent to all parents K-12th grade by end of business tomorrow, September 22, 2020. The schedule for re-entry is as follows:
- October 12- Kindergarten and Third-grade students return to 5 days a week instruction
- October 19- Kindergarten, First, Third, and Fourth-grade students return for 5 days a week instruction
- October 26- Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth-grade students return to 5 days a week instruction
- November 2- IF ALLOWABLE BY THE GOVERNOR- Middle and High School will return to 5 days a week instructions.
The admin team will provide further information regarding Plan A and what that looks like in the classroom this week. Please stay tuned for further details. Thank you,
