Dear Firebird Families,
First and foremost, I want to tell each of you how much we miss our Firebirds at FLA! Our teachers are missing the interaction they have with our students each day. Who would have ever imagined during our first 9 weeks that this is how we would complete our 4th nine weeks.
Thanks to the hard work of our teachers and our parents, education for FLA is continuing remotely. We have had 4 days of remote instruction to work out as many kinks as possible before rolling into full time remote learning beginning Monday and lasting until at least May 15th.
Below you will find a link to a survey that will guide our plans in the following weeks. It is VERY important that you complete this survey so that we can best meet your needs and the needs of your student. Every family situation is different and we understand that varying challenges exist. Our goal is to be a support for your family during this difficult time and keep your students engaged in learning as much as appropriate for your situation.
A copy of the remote learning plan will be shared with families Friday evening. This plan will detail important topics such as attendance, grades, time for assignments, technology questions, and other important information. In addition, we will place some helpful links to video tutorials for many of the online tasks families are being asked to complete. Be on the lookout for these over the weekend.
Our firebird family has been extremely gracious with the staff as we have quickly made an adjustment to remote learning. We appreciate each of you and encourage you to provide us feedback as often as possible. We will continue to remain in constant contact with all of you via Jupiter messages and PAA phone calls.
